# Кого называют валидатором в блокчейне?

**Валидатор** — это участник [**блокчейна**](/ru/baza-znanii/obshee-o-kriptovalyute-i-my-wallet/kak-rabotaet-blokchein-i-perevody-v-kriptovalyute.md), который:

* Проверяет транзакции и добавляет их в блокчейн.
* Обеспечивает консенсус в сети.
* Участвует в защите блокчейна от атак.
* Поддерживает стабильную работу сети.

**Валидаторы** играют ключевую роль в поддержании работоспособности и безопасности блокчейна, работающего на механизме **PoS** (Proof-of-Stake). За свою работу валидатор получает вознаграждение (как правило, в виде комиссии от стейкинга).
