# What is a swap? How does it work?

A **swap** enables direct cryptocurrency exchange within your wallet. **My Wallet** supports two types of swaps:

* **On-chain swaps** within the same blockchain
* **Cross-chain swaps** between different blockchains

Exchange tokens within a single blockchain network (e.g., **TON**) through a fully **decentralized** process.
