# How to use Telegram Wallet in My Wallet?

Can I use Telegram Wallet in My Wallet? Yes. Import Gram Wallet in Telegram (WalletTg contract) into My Wallet with your 12- or 24-word recovery phrase. Step-by-step guide and activation tip.

**Can I use Telegram Wallet in My Wallet?** Yes. **My Wallet** supports importing **Gram Wallet in Telegram**, the self-custodial wallet built into Telegram. Import it with your **recovery phrase**, just like any other wallet, and manage the same address and assets in My Wallet.

Technically, it's a **TON** wallet on the **WalletTg** contract. My Wallet detects it automatically on import, so there's nothing to choose. Both **12-word** and **24-word** recovery phrases are supported.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Activate your Gram Wallet first.** Only activated (initialized) wallets can be imported for now. Send any transaction from your wallet in Telegram to activate it, then import it into My Wallet. Support for importing non-activated wallets is coming in upcoming releases.
{% endhint %}

## :key: Step 1: Get your recovery phrase

Export or back up your **recovery phrase** in the Gram Wallet settings in Telegram. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe and offline.

## :inbox\_tray: Step 2: Import the wallet into My Wallet

### If you're new to My Wallet

1. Download **My Wallet** via [get.mywallet.io](https://get.mywallet.io?utm_source=help_center\&utm_medium=website\&utm_campaign=how-to-use-telegram-wallet-in-my-wallet) or use our Telegram Mini App [@myapp](tg://resolve?domain=myapp).
2. Open My Wallet, accept the terms, and tap **Add New Wallet** → **12/24 Secret Words**.
3. Paste your recovery phrase and confirm the action.

### If you already use My Wallet

1. Tap the **wallet icon** at the top right of the screen to open **Settings**.
2. Tap **Add Wallet**.
3. Choose to import with a recovery phrase (**12/24 Secret Words**).
4. Paste your recovery phrase and confirm the action.

**Done!** Your Gram Wallet now shows up in My Wallet with the same address and balance, including your **GRAM**.

For more details on importing, see [**How to import an existing wallet using a seed phrase?**](/intro/getting-started/how-to-import-an-existing-wallet-using-a-seed-phrase.md)

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Never share your recovery phrase.** Anyone who has it controls your funds. **My Wallet** asks for it only on the import screen and never anywhere else: not in chats, not from support, not on websites. See [**What is a seed phrase?**](/intro/security-and-access-recovery/what-is-a-seed-phrase-how-to-store-a-seed-phrase.md)
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Not the same as Walt.** The custodial **@wallet** bot (now **Walt**) is a separate service. It has no recovery phrase to import. To move funds from it, withdraw them to your My Wallet address. See [**How to receive crypto in My Wallet?**](/intro/transfers/how-to-receive-crypto-in-my-wallet.md)
